solemnly vow that I will be a Green Citizen who tackles the issue of environmental pollution together with the State Government to make Penang the first Green State in Malaysia. I will support the State Government's Green Initiative through the following 10 steps:

  1. Save water.
  2. Save electricity.
  3. Reduce the use of single-use plastics.
  4. Bring your own food/drink containers.
  5. Practice 5R- Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle to extend the life of Pulau Burung Landfill.
  6. Use public transport or carpool to reduce your carbon footprint.
  7. Support the smoking ban initiative.
  8. Stop the habit of littering everywhere.
  9. Stop the habit of open burning.
  10. Cultivate the spirit of a loving and caring community.
